Cowan Heights Spring Fair: Join us for our Annual Spring Craft Fair on Saturday, April 25th from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Admission is $2.00 at the door. Local vendors will sell knitted goods, paintings, handcrafted wood items, and much more. We hope to see you there! We are also looking for more vendors to sell their wares at our craft fair! Please note we will NOT be accepting any vendors selling AI generated "art," or any products that have utilized generative AI. First UCW Morning Coffee and Cake Walk - The UCW of First United are sponsoring a Morning Coffee on Saturday, May 2nd in Trinity Hall from 10:30 am to 12 noon. Doors open at 10 am. Please use the Churchill Avenue entrance. Tickets cost $10 and are available through UCW members and at the Church Office (709-368-2194) weekdays Wednesday - Friday from 10 am to 2 pm until May 1st. Tickets WILL NOT be sold at the door, so please purchase them by May 1st. Come sit, have a cup of coffee or tea, and, of course, a treat or two with your family and friends and participate in our Cake Walk which will take place during the Morning Coffee. Bring along a few toonies for your chance to get a wonderful cake!”
Church of the Ascension, 58 Smallwood Drive is hosting Take a Bite out of Hunger - Food Bank Benefit Concert: On Saturday, May 2 at 7 p.m. Alex Taylor, along with musical friends Chris & Jessie Connolly and Not Fit, are hosting a concert to benefit our Food Bank here at the Ascension. Admission is $20 at the door and there will be a 50/50 draw. It promises to be a very entertaining evening so please come out to support this wonderful cause!

Wesley United Church Flipper Dinner: Wesley Church will hold the first of two Flipper Dinners on Thursday May 14th starting at 5 pm for takeouts and 6 pm for eat in. Tickets are $30 and should be paid for and picked up by Friday May 8th. Tickets will not be sold at the door but can be picked up at the Church on Friday, May 8th between 11 am and 1 pm.
