Sunday Worship
Regular worship at Gower is 11:00 a.m. on Sundays.
Visitors are always welcome at Gower and are encouraged to make themselves known to greeters, ushers, people sitting near them, and/or ministers, and to sign the guest book on the table in the vestibule.
A children’s time is included in each service. A nursery and Sunday School classes are available during worship.
The services are greatly enhanced by the music provided by the organist, choirs and bands.
Large print bulletins are available, and hearing devices will be supplied by the ushers upon request. Individuals who have hearing problems can request a printed copy of the sermon. Services are recorded. We are planning to make parts available on the church’s website. People who are unable to attend services may find these recordings uplifting and a means to connect with the church community.
Following the morning service, we host a fellowship time in the lecture hall space during which members of the congregation and visitors have an opportunity to meet each other and enjoy some refreshments.
Communion is usually held on the first Sunday of each liturgical season – Advent, Lent, Easter and Pentecost. In addition, Communion is served at our late night service on Christmas Eve, and on World Wide Communion Sunday, the first Sunday in October. Children are welcome at Communion services.
